Seat Alhambra

Alhambra was created as large car, with more functions then only transporting maximum 5 people. It was relised 1996, and is with Altea the biggest car from Seat production.

The name is given by very popular monument in Spain, Alhambra from Granada. It was designed by Seat, VW and Ford (because they had an agreement to share the same tehnology, every company made their cars, almost the same with different names), and can transport 7 passengers (those 5 at the back can be removed). 2000, they decided to change the design a little, to adopt new revolution.

Seat Altea

Italian designer, Walter de’Silva was the one who designed Seat Altea. It has been officialy relised 2004. It can come with 5-speed transmissions and 6-speed transmissions. Current Toledo is very simular to Altea.

Extended version, XL, was presented like Exeo on Paris motor show 2006. 2007 was the year of Altea Freetrack release (read more – here).

Altea was the answer on new relises from opponent companies, and did well on market even if they were few years late. It’s family car, 5-doors, 5-seats.

Seat Exeo

This model is totally based on Audi A4, except style, which has been changed. It was officialy promoted in Paris on Motor Show 2008.

It has 4-doors, 5-seats generation (sedan) and newer, 5-doors, 5-seats generation called Exeo ST (estate). It is mid-class car, and has manual 6 speed transmissions, but don’t offer 4-wheel drive.

They had special editions like Copa Edition. This model is also in motorsport. About it later in post.

Mk1 (first generation -> 1998-2006)

This version had hatchback of Seat Toledo, based on Golf 4 and Audi A4. This was also the best selling car of Seat company, and it was called by VW, ‘the new sportier and cheaper version of Golf’.

This car was very popular in Mexico, specially young population, but had a small problem because it was not produced for bad roads like in that country.

The production started in October 1998. and has ended in May 2006.

Seat Ibiza

Seat Ibiza is a car in supermini class. Always had three or five (fifth at the back) doors available. This model has 4 generations (first one produced 1984.) and could have more in future.

Mk1 (produced 1984.; not available since 1993.)

Design was taken from Seat Ronda and Porsche, and was the first model which had nothing to do with Fiat (old shareholders, and designers) anymore.

Giorgetto Giugiaro was the designer of this now old machine, and was presented as a car with Italian style and Germain engines.

About size, it was larger then any supermini class (like Fiat Uno, Ford Fiesta), but smaller then family mini class (for example Golf).

Seat also created another model which was based on this, Seat Malaga.

Design of this version of Ibiza was buyed by Chinese automobile mark in 1999.
